Yelp Publishes List of Companies Using Alleged Fake/Paid Reviews
Yelp, best known for its restaurant reviews by real consumers, is proactive in flagging suspicious reviews that may be phony or paid for. They proactively investigate attempts to manipulate a business's ratings and reviews, and may place an alert on a business page to warn people about suspicious or misleading review activity. Over the past 11 years, the site has flagged almost 5,000 companies. Here are the types of alerts they post. Here are the most recent alerts. We could not find a search function however, which makes the list virtually useless.
