Many of us have benefited from our cell provider not raising its prices every year. Some companies have even promised not to raise your rates. Despite advertising a "rate lock," one big carrier is now redefining what its rate lock really means.
That is our Mouse Print* story this week.
Bankrate compared home insurance prices around the country and found huge variations state-to-state. Policies with $250,000 in dwelling coverage can cost less than $750 per year, as seen in Hawaii, Vermont and Delaware, but cost well over $4,000 a year in states like Oklahoma, and Nebraska. Check average rates in your state. If you haven't shopped around in your state for a number of years, call some property insurance companies and see if they could be less than what you are paying now.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is getting better and better. Here is a quiz from NBC News to see if you can spot the photograph or artistic image that was created by a computer rather than by a photographer or an artist.
Consumer Alert
Beware of texts from your bank asking if you authorized certain money transfers through Zelle. Of course most people will say no... and that's when the scammers try to get you to transfer additional funds to supposedly protect your account. Don't fall for it.
