If you haven't comparison shopped for car insurance lately, you might be surprised how much you can save by switching companies. And, now is a good time to tackle it because they say tariffs on new cars and car parts will raise costs for insurers and in turn raise premiums. J.D. Power surveyed over 12,000 car owners who shopped for car insurance to find out which companies provided the most satisfying experience. Here are the rankings. These ratings are NOT about the best claims experience.
We're all used to seeing retail advertising where a sale price is compared to the store's regular price. But with new stocks of merchandise about to enter the US that have been subject to high tariffs, might stores begin advertising how low their prices are today compared to what they may go up to? We imagine what such an ad might look like.
A Massachusetts consumer rightfully complained about a fraudulent charge of almost $2,800 on her MasterCard debit card, but Santander Bank refused her refund requests despite the obvious fraud. It took a dedicated consumer reporter to get them to do the right thing. MrConsumer suggests in the video that the bank violated its own policy, the MasterCard "no liability for unauthorized purchases" promise, and possibly federal law.
