Big Bank Refuses Chargeback for Obvious Fraud

A Massachusetts consumer rightfully complained about a fraudulent charge of almost $2,800 on her MasterCard debit card, but Santander Bank refused her refund requests despite the obvious fraud. It took a dedicated consumer reporter to get them to do the right thing. MrConsumer suggests in the video that the bank violated its own policy, the MasterCard "no liability for unauthorized purchases" promise, and possibly federal law.
