Mouse Print*-- Did 7-Eleven Reduce Coffee Cup Sizes?

mouse print Some coffee drinkers have complained that 7-Eleven's coffee cups don't hold the full amount of coffee that they thought they were buying. A California reporter puts them to the test. That is our Mouse Print* story this week.

Is Apple Cider Vinegar a Miracle Cure?

apple cider vinegar If you read advertising for various products like apple cider vinegar (ACV), Goli ACV gummies, and Poppi prebiotic soda, you would think these were miracle foods because of claims about weight control, cholesterol lowering, acid reflux reduction, etc. Truth in Advertising took a look at the claims and whether any science or medical tests provided support for them. MrConsumer will tell you, however, that two friends get amazing relief from acid reflux overnight by taking a swig or two of apple cider vinegar with "the mother" daily.

To Save on Groceries, Be a Cherry Picker

[Ignore ad at beginning.] If you limit your grocery shopping to one store, you are probably overpaying. Some say you should be "treasure hunting" but MrConsumer calls it cherry picking. Shop the best deals at a variety of nearby stores and you will save significantly more. Here is a print version of this story.

Bargain of the Week

Get 10 - 30% Off at Amazon With American Express... Maybe

Periodically, AMEX offers cardholders an extra discount at Amazon.com if you use any number of American Express Membership Rewards points toward the purchase. (Hint, you only need to use one point to get the discount if your card is currently eligible.) MrConsumer got 30% off last week, but now inexplicably, the offer changed to 10% off. There is usually a dollar limit such as "up to $10 off" or "up to $30 off" and it only works on products "sold and shipped by Amazon." And some cards won't be eligible this time around. See if you are eligible here. Of course, you had to have listed your AMEX card as a method of payment at Amazon. Offer ends June 30th or before.

20% Off on Air Conditioners at Target

Target Circle members (their loyalty program) can get 20% off on most air conditioners through Saturday... just in time for the heat wave many of us are experiencing. Prices are generally lower online than in-store.
