If you read advertising for various products like apple cider vinegar (ACV), Goli ACV gummies, and Poppi prebiotic soda, you would think these were miracle foods because of claims about weight control, cholesterol lowering, acid reflux reduction, etc. Truth in Advertising took a look at the claims and whether any science or medical tests provided support for them. MrConsumer will tell you, however, that two friends get amazing relief from acid reflux overnight by taking a swig or two of apple cider vinegar with "the mother" daily.
A few weeks ago, an intrepid Wall Street Journal reporter decided to use artificial intelligence (AI) engines from Google and ChatGPT to figure out a trip to Boston on Memorial Day weekend. He wanted ways to get there, hotel suggestions, and sightseeing and food recommendations. Here is how the experiment worked out. (WSJ Pass if needed)
