Now they are smartly taking the additional step of educating shoppers about this money saver by way of a new TV commercial with a subtle hidden message. That story is in Mouse Print* this week.

Amazon to Notify and Refund Customers for Safety Recalls

defective toaster After a three-year legal battle, the Consumer Product Safety Commission is now requiring Amazon.com to issue recalls and notify customers of them even if the goods were sold by third parties on their website. Some 400,000 products are currently affected. They will be required to make refunds. Here is where you can see newly recalled products and check if any of your Amazon purchases have been recalled.

Consumer Reports says it is hard to go wrong picking a front-load washer instead of a top-loading one. This story points out the pros and cons, but does not include ratings of the top models. They do say, however, that LG models top their list.
