A report from Bloomberg says that popular low-cost retailers from China like Temu, Shein (fast fashion), AliExpress, and Amazon Haul (like Temu) which source their goods from China are being asked to pay a 30% levy [alternate link] on the retail value of the goods they ship. Although the new 10% tariff on goods from China was just implemented, an old exclusion for products under $800 has been cancelled, so approximately 20% more tax is now owed too.

The latest reports are for supermarkets and online retailers. Topping the ratings among grocery stores was Publix, followed by Trader Joe's and Sam's Club. Most important to shoppers was convenience and a quality mobile app. Oddly, they do not ask those polled about prices. Duh! Chewy.com had the highest rating of any online retailers.
