Four Antivirus Programs Tied for First Place

virus AV-Test just revealed its test results of antivirus programs for home use. Four software programs had perfect scores of 6, including a free one that has been much maligned in the past: Windows Defender, Kaspersky Internet Security 19.0, Norton Security 22.17, F-Secure Safe 17.


Hotel Booking Sites Mislead Travelers With "1 Room Left" Warnings

hotel You've probably seen the latest Trivago commercial where a group of guys at a hotel buffet all boast that they booked the last room available there a month earlier. Then the Trivago spokesperson says he booked a room there just 24 hours earlier at an even lower rate. According to a new study by Consumers' Checkbook, hotel booking sites routinely mislead travelers about the actual availability of rooms to make it appear if you don't act now you will lose your chance at a room.

We've all seen tons of commercials for these things, and it is hard to know which are the really good brands. Almost 3,000 purchasers were questioned about appearance, design, performance, durability, and warranty. Infinity by Marvin, Renewal by Andersen, and Window World topped the ratings.
