Last Full-Size Kmart to Close

Last Kmart

The last large Kmart store in the continental U.S. is in Bridgehampton, New York and is set to close on October 20. MrConsumer can't count the hours he spent shopping at his Kmart, right across the street in Somerville, MA. Sure the stuff tended to be junky, but many good deals were to be found. Bye, bye, Kmart.

Tide Evo Aims to Change Detergents

Tide is rolling out a new, expensive form of laundry detergents -- a fiber, waffle-like detergent packet called Tide Evo. This product is for those folks who hate to see so much plastic added to the environment via discarded detergent bottles. It has not been formally tested by Consumer Reports yet, but here are some initial thoughts.
